Explore Suzuki-powered safety boat packages at the Virtual RYA Dinghy Show

Back to news

Suzuki is proud to be the headline sponsor of this year’s RYA Dinghy Show, which is an innovative virtual event taking place on the 27 and 28 February.

Visitors to the Suzuki booth at show will find out just what makes them the ultimate outboards and why they are so popular for use on club safety boats, coaching/chase boats and, of course, leisure craft – including as auxiliary power for larger cruising Dinghies and sail boats.

Suzuki will be exhibiting its entire range of four stroke outboards, which spans from the lightweight and portable DF2.5 to the awesome power of the award-winning DF350A. Uniquely, the engines used to power its range of outboards have always been designed specifically for the rigours of marine use, which means that they all deliver quiet, fuel-efficient operation without sacrificing on performance.

In particular Suzuki’s experts will be on hand to talk to visitors about its market-leading Lean Burn Fuel Control System, which supplies the engine with the correct air/fuel mixture for the operating conditions. This results in a significant improvement in fuel economy across the entire rev range, not just one particular ‘sweet spot’.

In addition to its outboards Suzuki will be showcasing a number of example safety boat packages with key boat builders such as Rigiflex, Ribcraft, BRIG and Excel Boats. These will cater for the needs of most dinghy sailing clubs and training centres, including coastal clubs, using sheltered inshore waters, or less sheltered coastal waters and inland clubs using lakes or reservoirs.

Suzuki has also donated an outboard as the main prize for the Dinghy Show Leaderboard. The more exhibitor stands, talks and areas of the show that you visit, the more points you win. Visitors with the highest number of points will win prizes with one lucky visitor being able to win a DF2.5, which is a fantastic portable outboard that is ideal as use for a tender or as auxiliary power on a cruising dinghy.

Mark Beeley, Head of Marine & ATV for Suzuki GB said, “We are delighted to be able to support the RYA Dinghy Show again this year. We are all disappointed not to be able to get together and see everyone in person, but I think this virtual show will be the next best thing and we applaud the RYA for putting it on. We look forward to talking to sailing clubs and training centres about their safety boat or re-powering requirements.”

Tickets are free for the show, which, as usual, will have a great range of talks and coaching sessions.
