Suzuki Marine enhances its customer support with the addition of new Technical and Sales Support Manager

Suzuki GB's Marine Division is delighted to announce the appointment of a new Technical and Sales Support Manager to its team, covering the UK and Republic of Ireland. Lee Allen has over 25 years’ experience in the marine industry, both in the UK and South Africa, gained through working as a technician in dealerships and more recently, as a Technical Service Manager for another major outboard brand.

During his time in South Africa, Allen also raced boats and assisted technically with Formula 1 power boat racing.After moving back to the U.K he became a U.I.M Technical Commissioner, scrutineering at Formula 4, Formula 2, GT30 and GT15 races both nationally and internationally.

The Technical and Sales Support Manager role is a new addition to the Suzuki Marine team and this positive step is a result of its continued sales growth and success – particularly in the commercial sector. Predominantly field-based, Allen's role will be to work alongside the existing Suzuki sales team as well as its partner Dealers and Boat Builders to further enhance the level of service and support that Suzuki is able to provide to its network and end user customers.

Suzuki's range of ultimate four stroke outboards benefit from high levels of sophisticated technology and Allen will advise on how to get the best from any particular set-up, from choosing which outboard best suits the boat and desired use, through to the rigging process and choosing the right propeller. Another important area that Allen will be able to bring his expertise to is when working with Dealers and Boat Builders on large commercial tenders and special projects.

On his appointment, Allen said, “I am thrilled to be joining a market-leading brand such as Suzuki and I can’t wait to get stuck in. There are lots of exciting projects on the horizon and I am confident I can bring something extra to the table to contribute to the continued success for Suzuki Marine.”

Allen's appointment is not the only change for Suzuki Marine. Stephanie Aston has joined the team as Sales and Network Development Coordinator to provide the essential internal support that the department needs. Furthermore, with some changes to internal structure, the Marine division now sits together with the ATV and Motorcycle departments under the guidance of Director Paul de Lusignan. All three product groups will now benefit from a shared marketing team, which will improve levels of efficiency by utilising shared resources and knowledge. New Head of Marketing, Fiona Cole, has almost twenty years’ experience across all three areas having previously worked in a pan brand senior role at Honda Europe as well as running her own consultancy for the last five years. She is supported by existing Marketing Co-ordinator Charlotte Sedgwick, we well as Toby Matthews, who has joined the team as Marketing Co-ordinator on a 12-month secondment from the Suzuki Automobile division. A Channel Marketing role is currently being recruited with further positions anticipated to build the team over the next twelve months.
