Suzuki GB’s Marine Division is kicking off 2022 with some pre-season exhibition activity at the BoatLife Live show at the NEC (17 – 20 Feb) and the RYA Dinghy & Watersports Show at Farnborough (26 – 27 Feb).

 

Suzuki at BoatLife Live (stand E58)

Suzuki is pleased to be showcasing its ultimate four stroke outboards at the inaugural BoatLife Live show. The most dominant feature of Suzuki’s display will be the Smartfish 25 fishing boat that is powered by a dual-propeller Suzuki DF300B. This boat is owned by Suzuki’s ambassador and head of its pro-fishing team, Will Parkinson.

 

Will is going to be offering free fishing advice workshops for visitors at the show as well as raising awareness for the Fire Fighters Charity.

 

Will has spent 17 years serving in the UK Fire Service, where he also uses his passion for fishing to raise awareness and funds for The Fire Fighters Charity. The Charity supports the mental health, physical health and social welfare of all serving and retired fire and rescue personnel in the UK, as well as their families, both in person at three residential centres around the country and remotely through online support. Whether it’s work-related stress, a change in family dynamics or just the long-term wear and tear on their bodies, all members of the UK’s fire family are eligible for support from the Charity.

 

As well as his duties in the fire service, Will runs two Suzuki-powered boats to take part in boat fishing competitions around the UK, raising money and awareness for the Charity along the way. He also takes fellow firefighters out with him, either to fish, or just to experience the healing properties of being on the water, sometimes referred to as part of a ‘blue gym’.

 

Visitors to the show will have to contribute to the great work that the Fire Fighter’s Charity does and be in with a chance of winning a Suzuki DF2.5 outboard in a special raffle being run by the Charity.

 

Also on the Suzuki stand will be a smaller boat/engine package from River Boats, courtesy of Avon Marina. These rotomolded boats are designed to be fun and user-friendly, whether for sports, leisure, fishing or for use as a towing dinghy. The materials used are 100% recyclable and their unique design makes them solid, safe and very comfortable on the water.

Suzuki at the RYA Dinghy & Watersports Show (stand A60)

Suzuki is proud to be the headline sponsor of this well-renowned show, which continues a 14-year association with the event, that has seen Suzuki position itself as the go to outboard motor manufacturer for sailing club safety boat packages.
