Suzuki powers new boats at Seawork 2022

Back to news

We are pleased to be returning to Seawork (stand Q6, 21 – 23 June) with an exciting array of commercial outboard motors and boat packages on display, which includes the world launch of several new boats.

Clients can expect to see and test a wide selection of Suzuki-powered boats from a variety of expert dealers, boat builders and partners, including:

  • NEW - Coulam V29 drop-front workboat with wheelhouse powered by twin DF200A outboards
  • Island RIB 7.5m
  • Ribcraft 7.5m powered by a single DF250
  • Smartfish 25 fishing boat powered by a single DF300B dual-propeller outboard
  • NEW - Ultimate Boats 11m M-Class Police boat powered by twin DF325A dual-propeller outboards
  • NEW - Ultimate Boats 7.5m P-Class powered by a single DF250

 Why choose Suzuki?

There are many positive, business-case reasons why more and more boat builders and commercial boat operators are turning to Suzuki outboards to power their craft.

Our lightweight and compact outboards deliver plenty of performance with low-end torque, instant throttle response, smooth acceleration and fast top-end speed, whilst large diameter propellers aid low speed maneuverability.

The V6 family of 300-350hp outboards have a unique narrow 55-degree cylinder block and an offset drive shaft making them extremely compact and ideal for twin installations.

Key to any marine commercial operation is consistent reliability and ease of servicing, which Suzuki is renowned for. In addition, we have got an excellent network of supporting Dealers across the UK and Ireland providing reassurance and back-up to commercial operators with a view to keeping any downtime or time off the water to a minimum.

Increased corporate & social responsibility for marine operators

In another world-first, our engineers have enhanced our environmental credentials with the development of the world’s first micro-plastic collecting device for outboard motors

It collects micro-plastic waste from seawater that is pumped around the engine as part of its cooling system. The device can be easily installed and does not affect the engine performance since it only utilizes the returning water that has already been used to cool the engine.

It is anticipated that the micro-plastic collection device is going to be available on selected new Suzuki outboard models and as a retro-fit accessory later this year. This innovation complements our existing Lean Burn technology which is on all of our electronically fuel injected outboards. The Lean Burn Fuel Control technology predicts fuel needs according to operating conditions, then delivers the optimum fuel/air mixture to the engine, across the entire rev range. This means fuel-efficiency and range is increased as well as commercial returns being maximised.

Mark Beeley, Head of Marine & ATV for Suzuki GB, said, “Seawork is an essential part of our calendar. It provides us with a great opportunity to discuss opportunities with our existing commercial customers and potential new buyers. We already have an extensive range of outboards that are more than suited to powering workboats. We look forward to welcoming boat owners, operators and builders onto our stand (Q6) on the quayside to have a chat over a tea or coffee about how we can help them deliver their next project.”
