The Championship bring together over 200 anglers and more than 30 boats for one of the UK’s most exciting offshore fishing competitions. Under a strict catch-and-release format, competitors will target the mighty Atlantic bluefin tuna while showcasing skill, teamwork, and environmental responsibility.
Suzuki Marine will be on hand to support the event both on and off the water. The Suzuki Fishing Team, including Smartfishing UK, Tuna Gear, Squidward 3 Fishing Adventures and Kraken, will take part in the competition while on shore, a dedicated Suzuki Marine stand will give visitors and competitors the chance to explore its award-winning range of ultimate four-stroke outboard motors.
The event’s sustainability-first ethos aligns closely with Suzuki’s Clean Ocean Project, a global initiative dedicated to reducing plastic waste, cutting environmental impact, and helping to protect and improve our marine environment.
Mark Beeley, Head of Marine & ATV for Suzuki GB, said: “We’re delighted to be supporting the UK Bluefin Tuna Championship. It’s a fantastic celebration of competitive sportfishing, but more importantly, it showcases how we can all enjoy our marine environment responsibly. The organisers’ commitment to sustainability mirrors our own Clean Ocean Project mission, and we’re looking forward to seeing our Suzuki Fishing Team in action in Falmouth this September.”
The 2025 UK Bluefin Tuna Championship will transform Falmouth Harbour into a hub of fishing, entertainment, and conservation, complete with live leaderboards, a hospitality marquee, and sponsor exhibits. Visitors can also look forward to evening events, including Q&As with sporting legends and a celebratory prize-giving.
